About Us

At Valley Christian Schools in Chandler, Arizona, we are proud to support a thriving robotics program that nurtures innovation, teamwork, and technical excellence through participation in the FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) and FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC). Our program includes three competitive teams, each with a unique identity and history of success on the regional and state stages.

Valley X Robotics – FTC Team 2844

In the 2024 season, we earned the Connect Award at the Roadrunner – Gilbert Qualifier and the Design Award at the Arizona Championship, where we also captained the Grand Canyon Division Winning Alliance. Oue dedication to outreach and engineering design continues to inspire new generations of students.

Plus +3 Robotics – FTC Team 12841

Launched in 2017, Plus +3 Robotics is our second FTC team. Known for their strategic gameplay and programming excellence, Team 12841 has participated in 28 official events. In 2024, they won the Control Award at the Roadrunner – Gilbert Qualifier and were the first pick of the Winning Alliance at the Copper – Queen Creek Qualifier. Their consistent performance reflects their strong focus on innovation and precision.

BLU CRU – FRC Team 8848

Our newest team, FRC Team 8848 BLU CRU, entered the FIRST Robotics Competition in 2022. Competing in the 2025 Arizona East Regional, the team recorded a 5-9-0 match record and made it to the playoffs as the first pick of Alliance 8. Their rapid development and competitive spirit showcase our commitment to excellence as we continue to grow in the high school robotics arena.

Mission

Our Robotics Program is dedicated to equipping students to be culture changers for Christ by delivering academic excellence through hands-on STEM experiences, facilitating spiritual growth through Christ-centered mentorship, and building lifelong community through collaborative innovation. Through participation in FIRST® Robotics competitions, students develop technical skills, deepen their faith, and form lasting relationships, preparing them to make a meaningful impact in their communities and the world.

Vision

We envision a Christ-centered robotics community where students are inspired to pursue excellence in science and technology, grow spiritually, and lead with integrity. By integrating faith and learning, our program aims to develop servant leaders who are prepared to transform culture for Christ today and tomorrow.
